| 解説 | クラリネット（またはヴァイオリン等）とピアノのために書かれた舞曲集で、北欧民俗音楽の雰囲気を取り入れた親しみやすい作品です。複数の小舞曲から構成され、それぞれが明快なリズムと歌謡的な旋律を持ち、素朴さと洗練が共存しています。クラリネット版では柔らかな音色と機動性を生かし、軽快な舞曲的性格から抒情的な歌まで幅広い表現が求められます。ロマン派後期の作風ながらも民俗的要素を強く反映しており、演奏会用小品としても教育的レパートリーとしても広く親しまれている作品です。 （出版社による解説文） Max Bruch， best known to posterity for his first violin concerto， wrote the present work for violin and piano and published it in 1892. The title Swedish Dances conceals that the composition indeed features also folkloristic elements which can be attributed to the Hebrew music. This is reflected even more in Luigi Magistrelli’s present arrangement for clarinet.
