Sarasate composed romances， fantasies， and made transcriptions of Spanish airs calculated to show off his great virtuosity. Zigeunerweisen， which translates as Gypsy Airs， is one of these show-cases. This arrangement encompasses the extremes of the gypsy temperament. |
