Elfentanz (Dance of the Fairies) is an attractive spiccato study originally written for the violin. It is a wonderful piece for encouraging the use of the double tongue， using the syllables ‘da-ga’ rather than the more harsh ‘tu-ku’. To perform this work with style the player should strive to shape the phrases in a light and nimble manner， gliding over the notes rather than digging in! |
