| 解説 | 《スコアのみの販売です》 ※スコアとパート譜のセットは商品番号：UN1191で販売 「フィエスタ・デ・ラ・ヴィダ」は、カリフォルニアのゴールデン・ステート・ブリティッシュ・ブラス・バンド (GSBBB) の創設ディレクター、ジョン・スウェイン氏の人生を称えるために委嘱された作品です。 ラテンアメリカの雰囲気を持つこの曲は、カリフォルニアの人々への敬意も込められています。カリフォルニアは、今でもメキシコのルーツが色濃く残っていると言われる州です。 この序曲は直接的に民俗音楽を用いてはいませんが、陽気なラテン音楽が象徴するように、音楽の喜びをもってジョン・スウェイン氏の功績を称え、その人生を振り返ることを目的としています。 Commissioned by the Golden State British Brass Band (California)， Fiesta de la Vida is a celebration of the life of the GSBBB’s founding director， John Swain. The Latin American mood of the piece is also a salute to the population of California， a state which many feel still clearly displays its Mexican roots. Though no folk music is used in the overture， the aim of the commission was to pay tribute to the memory of John Swain using the joy of music， which the Latin style exemplifies so well. |
